Vitamins and Minerals

For our inquiry, we have been learning about what makes fruit and vegetables good for us. We have been learning about some vitamins and minerals. We are all in different groups and each group has been learning about one vitamin or mineral. 

Our groups are: Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin C and Calcium.

We have been learning about each of our vitamins/mineral and finding out which fruit or vegetable has a lot of our vitamin/mineral.

Today we did some fruit/vegetable shaped sponge stamping with paint. We could only stamp with the fruits and vegetables that had a lot of our vitamin or mineral!

Chicago - Calcium (Spinach, Broccoli, Kiwifruit, Strawberry, Cabbage, Peas)

Ruby - Calcium (Orange, Broccoli, Kiwifruit)

Azariah - Vitamin A (Strawberry, Carrot, Mango)

Delontaye - Vitamin C (Broccoli, Strawberry, Mango)

Walsamon - Vitamin C (Spinach, Carrot, Strawberry, Mango)

Ralphina - Vitamin C (Broccoli, Watermelon, Mango, Cabbage, Strawberry)

Sofele - Vitamin C (Watermelon, Kiwifruit, Broccoli, Mango, Strawberry)
