Inquiry - Yoga

For our inquiry this term, we have been learning about Indoor Hobbies. Indoor hobbies are hobbies you would normally do inside. We have been trying different kinds of indoor hobbies as a class. 

Today we learnt about yoga. We learnt about the different poses and had a go at some yoga. We learnt about why some people do yoga.

Tuakana/Teina - Healthy Eating

We had Tuakana/Teina day today and we made some artwork about our inquiry with our buddies. Our buddies helped us find healthy food and cut them out of magazines. We made colourful stomachs and glued our healthy food onto our stomachs. We glued our faces onto the stomachs and made arms and legs. We had a lot of fun making these with our buddies!

Vitamin/Mineral Pamphlets

For our inquiry, we have been learning about what makes fruit and vegetables good for us. We have been learning about some vitamins and minerals. We are all in different groups and each group has been learning about one vitamin or mineral. 

Our groups are: Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin C and Calcium.

We have been learning about each of our vitamins/mineral. We have been doing lots of writing about what we have been learning and we have turned some of our writing into pamphlets! We will be showing them at the Food Tasting Festival that we are having at the end of the term.
